Vidal joins Inter Milan from Barcelona

Inter Milan have confirmed the signing of Chilean midfielder Arturo Vidal from Barcelona on a two-year-deal.

The 33-year-old is reunited with Inter manager Antonio Conte, with whom he won three Serie A titles during their time together at Juventus.

The fee for Vidal is €1 million and he has signed a two-year contract, with an option of a third year.

Vidal scored 11 goals in 96 games for Barcelona after joining from Bayern Munich in the summer of 2018.

Inter confirmed the news on their website: "Arturo Vidal is officially an Inter player. The Chilean midfielder has joined Inter on a permanent deal from FC Barcelona.

A statement on Barcelona's website read: "FC Barcelona would like to publicly express their gratitude to Arturo Vidal for his commitment and dedication and wishes him all the best for the future."

Inter, who finsihed second behind Juventus last season, start their Serie A campaign on Saturday when they host Fiorentina.
Vidal will become the sixth Chilean to play for Inter after Ivan Zamorano, David Pizarro, Luis Jimenez, Gary Medel and Alexis Sanchez.
