Tributes are flowing in for Paul O’Connell, who has announced his retirement from rugby.
The former Ireland captain called it quits following medical advice, having failed to recover from the serious hamstring injury he suffered in the World Cup last autumn.
He had signed for Toulon, but his contract has been cancelled without him playing a game.
You can read his statement here.
The IRFU, Brian O’Driscoll and Gordon D’Arcy are among those to tweet their tributes to the legendary second row.
