There are two huge games this evening in the SSE Airtricity League Premier Division, as the top four sides play each other.

Damien Duff is in line to make his debut for Shamrock Rovers, as they welcome second-placed Cork City to Tallaght Stadium.

Rovers recovered from their defeat to St Pats two weeks ago with a 3-1 win away to Longford Town on Friday.

Cork, meanwhile, lost 3-2 at home to Limerick on Friday.

Rovers boss Pat Fenlon says it’s a crucial game- “The two games we’ve had this year against them have been very tight,” he said.

“They’ve been difficult games. We expect the same again on Monday. They have got some good players. It is a big game for us.

“We need to make sure we go and win here, simple as that. Against the teams above us, we need to go and win the games.”

Patrick Cregg is available again after suspension, as are Ryan Brennan and Dylan Kavanagh, who missed the win over Longford on Friday through injury.

Stephen McPhail misses out again through injury, while Marty Waters is suspended.

Rovers skipper Conor Kenna spoke to 98FM Sport’s Derek Ryan ahead of the game:

Kick off at Tallaght Stadium is at 7.05pm and Darren Cleary will be covering the game for 98FM Sport.

There’s another top of the table clash at Oriel Park, where it’s first against third, as St Patrick's Athletic make the trip to league leaders Dundalk.

Pats are on a record-breaking run of nine league wins in-a-row, which has seen them rise up the table to third place.

Dundalk were the last team to beat the Inchicore side in the league last May, and the Lilywhites have beaten Pats in the President's Cup Final and in their two league meetings between the sides so far this season.

Saints' manager Liam Buckley is confident they can pick up a win- "Dundalk have had a great season and Stephen Kenny has done a good job with them this season.

"However, we're playing well ourselves. We had a really tough game on Monday against Bray and we know we will have to up our performance levels for Monday night as it's a top of the table clash, but the players are up for the game and will give it their all to get a result."

Killian Brennan and Morgan Langley both miss out through suspension, while Christy Fagan is still out with a knee injury.

Pats midfielder James Chambers spoke to 98FM Sport’s Derek Ryan ahead of the game:

Kick off at Oriel Park is at 7.45pm.

Elsewhere at 7.45pm, Bohemians are away to Bray Wanderers, Galway United host Drogheda United, it’s Limerick against Longford Town, while Sligo Rovers host Derry City.
