Scotland and England played out a scoreless draw in their Euro 2020 Group D game at Wembley Stadium on Friday night.
On paper, England should have dominated this game from the off but Gareth Southgate's side were incredibly poor.
Scotland frustrated them from the outset with Billy Gilmour exceptional in the middle of the park in the first half.
John Stones had a chance in the 12th minute with a header from England's first corner of the game but his effort hit the crossbar.
Phil Foden then shot from distance just after the quarter of an hour mark but sent it wide.
Apart from that, England did nothing else in the first half.
Their delivery to Harry Kane, who does not look 100% fit, was very poor, especially considering the wealth of attacking talent they have.
The best chance of the half was from Scotland's Stephen O’Donnell in the 31st minute when he took a low shot on the volley that Jordan Pickford got a hand to to save.
Steve Clarke would have been by far the happier manager at the break.
England slightly came out of themselves after the break but as the clock ticked on the home fans at Wembley got frustrated.
Jack Grealish was introduced in the 64th minute for Foden, who hadn't really done much in the game.
Kane was then replaced by Marcus Rashford with 17 minutes of normal time left to play after what was simply an awful night for the English Skipper.
Scotland made a change too with Stuart Armstrong replacing Billy Gilmour.
Scotland stayed patient and disciplined as the game ticked into the last 10 minutes as England remained slow and looked lacking in energy, with no one willing to go on a run in behind the Scottish defence.
There was a nervy moment for the visiting side in the 90th minute as Grealish lost the ball on the edge of the box but it came out to Reece James.
He sent it into the middle for Declan Rice who couldn't control it and there was a scramble before John McGinn eventually got it and smashed it away.
The clock then went into injury time and the game finished up 0-0 with the English players boo'd off the pitch.
