Ryan O’Dwyer is back training with the Dublin hurlers.
The Kilmacud Crokes man returned to full contact training this week.
The 29-year old has been out of action since suffering a serious assault last October outside a Birmingham nightclub.
The assault left him hospitalised for a week with a broken jaw, fractured skull and bleeding on the brain.
“Ryan has got the all –clear and he’s been back doing some non-contact hurling for the last two or three weeks”, confirmed Dubs boss Ger Cunningham.
“And he got the all-clear to go back fully, so he did his first session with us (on Tuesday)- his first full-contact session.
“I think he played 10 minutes for Crokes in a league match last Saturday, but he was back in fully and back being Ryan O’Dwyer!”.
“He gives us that physical presence that we need- it was great to see him back. He was in flying form”.
Dublin face Wexford in the Leinster quarter final on May 21st.
