Ronan O’Gara could be in the running to become Ireland’s new defence coach.
Reports in today's Irish Mail suggest the ex-Munster and Ireland out half is being considered for the role, left vacant after Les Kiss joined Ulster after the World Cup.
O’Gara has been a coach with Racing Metro in France, since his retirement from Munster in 2013.
However he admitted last week that he was considering his future in Paris, after the terrorist attacks there earlier this month.
He is kicking coach, defence coach and skills coach at Racing.
Joe Schmidt would be eyeing a replacement for Kiss before the start of the Six Nations next spring.
