Roma say Kevin Strootman is not for sale.
The midfielder has been heavily linked with Manchester United in recent weeks, since Louis van Gaal took charge at Old Trafford.
The pair worked together with the Dutch squad in qualifying for the World Cup.
Strootman is also just back in action, after recovering from the serious knee injury that saw him miss the World Cup.
