Tottenham have cut Leicester's lead at the top of the Premier League back to five points. It's after a comfortable 3-0 win over Bournemouth at White Hart Lane.

A brace from Harry Kane and a second-half Christian Eriksen goal secured the victory.

The win sees Tottenham – who face Liverpool and Manchester United after the international break – stay within touching distance of Claudio Ranieri's table-toppers.

Manager Maurico Pochettino believes that result leaves them perfectly placed in the title race:

Marcus Rashford is quickly becoming a cult hero at Manchester United, he scored the decisive goal in a 1-0 win away to Manchester City in the Premier League on Sunday.

The 18-year-old has been in fine form since making the step up to the first team. He scored four times in his first two United appearances this season.

He struck in the first half to seal the derby spoils and kick-start his side's hopes of a top-four finish.

To make matters worse for the Sky Blues they lost captain Vincent Kompany and Nicolas Otamendi to injury before the game. Their problems piled up with both Raheem Sterling and Joe Hart forced off injured.

Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini has confirmed that the pair are set to miss up to four weeks of action.

United are now level with fifth-placed West Ham, just a point behind their bitter rivals Manchester City. Manager Louis van Gaal reckons the result will give everyone at the club a lift:

Liverpool squandered a 2-0 lead as they lost 3-2 against Southampton in the Premier League on Sunday.

The Reds appeared to be on course for victory after the hour mark. They were cruising at 2-0 thanks to goals from Philippe Coutinho and Daniel Sturridge in the first half.

When Sadio Mane had a penalty saved by Simon Mignolet it looked like it was definitely going to be Liverpool’s day. Then the comeback started.

Mane didn’t spurn his second chance, which came after a poor touch from Jon Flanagan allowed Graziano Pelle to set up the Senegal international inside the area and he made no mistake with the finish.

Provider, Pelle turned scorer in the 84th minute when he found time and space to get a shot away from the edge of the box to make it 2-2.

Southampton capped off the incredible comeback 2 minutes later when mane once against linked up with Pelle, who took possession from a poor clearance from Mignolet.

He set it up for Mane who coolly slotted in to make it 3-2. Jurgen Klopp says they paid the price for not taking their chances.

Newcastle and Sunderland shared the spoils in the Tyne-Wear derby at St. James' Park. A 1-1 draw means both sides remain in the relegation zone.

Aleksandar Mitrovic was the Magpies hero as the striker headed home from close range in the 83rd minute at St James' Park.

His goal ended a run of four straight Premier League defeats for Newcastle, and a six-game losing run against Sunderland.

The draw won’t do much to help either side’s current plight, but Newcastle will likely be the happier of the two teams having come from behind and because they ended that losing streak.

Jermain Defoe had given Sunderland the lead on the stroke of half-time but the Black Cats couldn’t build on that lead. Newcastle manager Rafa Benitez was pleased with his side's character.
