It wasn't a victory that would rescue their disappointing season but in the end, Antonio Conte will be going out on a high by adding the FA Cup to his CV - that's presuming that he will leave Chelsea this summer.

A 1-0 win over Manchester United proved enough at Wembley on Saturday and to look back on the final, former Chelsea, Everton and Scotland winger Pat Nevin joined Kevin Kilbane and Joe on the Football Show as always on a Monday.

One of the issues from the game was the disappointing performances from Man United's attacking talents including Marcus Rashford whose precocious talent and confidence has ebbed away under Jose Mourinho's tutelage. Starting centrally, it didn't quite work out for him.

"Two big things for Man United: They didn't have Lukaku there and without Lukaku they had to look for a Plan B and there wasn't much of a Plan B. The Plan B seemed to be to put Rashford through the middle and I've spoken many times, I think Rashford's a much more potent force as a wide attacker and I think it showed when he played through the middle," he said, adding that he was surprised that Anthony Martial was not fielded centrally with Rashford wide and also left out his only No 10 type player in the shape of Juan Mata until late on.

He added that Mourinho's public remarks that they missed Lukaku's presence up front, was a message aimed at the board to spend big money on yet another attacking player.

Pat added: "By the end of next season if he's not found any methodology to beat Manchester City and get closer to them, then I think the question is really relevant: Has his time come and gone?"

He also discussed the future of Chelsea winger Willian amid speculation of a rift with manager Conte and with rumours suggesting Mourinho would be interested in making a move for the effective Brazilian, while he also touched on whether there's a possibility Conte could stay and who may replace him if he leaves.

Meanwhile, he also touched on the news that Unai Emery has jumped to the head of the queue for the Arsenal job, saying: "I have to say I'm not hyper excited if I'm an Arsenal fan".
