Cricket Ireland have selected a new coach to replace Phil Simmons and once personal terms have been thrashed out, the winning candidate will be revealed.
CEO Warren Deutrom spoke to 98FM Sport's Stephen Doyle at the 2015 Hanley Energy Inter-Provincial Series Launch at Malahide Cricket Club today, where Ireland's Kevin O'Brien (pictured) was also in attendance.
Deutrom hopes to reveal all by the end of the week and the new boss is expected to attend next week's Royal London ODI International between Ireland and England.
Deutrom did tell 98FM Sport that the new man has coached and/or played international test cricket and has dropped a couple more hints as well
