Paul McGinley has been chosen to lead the Irish golf team at the 2016 Rio Olympics.
The European Ryder Cup captain is one of 17 Team Ireland leaders for the Games.
He will join up again with Rory McIlroy in the Ireland team.
McGinley says the world number one is very excited:
The other team leaders are Kevin Ankrom (Athletics), Tom Reidy (Badminton), Joseph Hennigan (Boxing), Ike Jacob (Canoeing), Jeffrey C McCready (Clay Pigeon Shooting), Brian Nugent (Cycling), Sally Filmer (Gymnastics), Mike Heskin (Hockey), Triona Connors (Horse Sport), Ciaran Ward (Judo), Lindsey Weedon (Modern Pentathlon), Morten Espersen (Rowing), Gillian McDarby (Rugby Football), James O’Callaghan (Sailing), Peter Banks (Swimming) and Chris Kitchen (Triathlon).
Meanwhile, Sonia O'Sullivan will work in an advisory capacity with the Olympic Council of Ireland for Rio.
