Alan McCrabbe has withdrawn from the Dublin hurling panel for the season ahead.
The former All Star has cited work and family commitments as the reason for opting out.
It's the second time in three seasons he's made himself unavailable for selection.
The 28-year-old was a regular starter last year in the league and championship.
Dublin selector Gearoid O Riain told the Irish Daily Mirror “Obviously it’s very disappointing and a major blow to lose a player of Alan’s calibre.
“But we fully understand and respect Alan’s reason for opting out of the panel for this year.
"Being an inter-county player involves a very heavy commitment for lads in terms of time and the onerous demands that are placed on them, and Alan just decided that he couldn’t continue in that vein for any longer.”
