Mayo GAA issue vague statement after closed county board meeting

The Mayo county board released a statement last night that revealed little following the latest County Board meeting, its third in nine days.

The meeting took place as the standoff continues between the County Board and the International Supporters Foundation.

The Foundation is believed to be withholding €250,000 over questions of governance, which prompted a motion of confidence in the executive and the board last Monday. Some clubs then went on to social media to query that their delegates had endorsed a motion of confidence.

Last night's statement read:

A Mayo GAA County Board meeting took place last night in Elverys MacHale Park to discuss a number of topics with a range of views expressed by all in attendance.

Following this, all Clubs and the Board are now all looking forward to working together for the betterment of Mayo GAA from now on & into 2020.

What may be of greater news is this fantastic report from Castlebar by Off The Ball's Eoin Sheahan.

It's a brilliant report, but it sheds no new light on what actually is going on in Mayo GAA.
