Mark Scannell has been named the Philips Lighting Sports Manager of the month for January.
The head coach of Ambassador UCC Glanmire Basketball Club led his team to their fourth Women’s Hula Hoops Cup in-a-row.
The Glanmire Ladies defeated Courtyard Liffey Celtics by 61-48 at the National Basketball Arena at the end of January, to clinch the the title for the seventh time in the last ten years.
Scannell is also the head coach of Ireland’s senior women’s basketball team and was a previous Philips Manager winner in 2013.
