Leinster are back on track in their European Champions Cup pool.

They edged out Harlequins in a tight contest at the Aviva Stadium this evening.

Revenge was on the minds of Leinster’s players, after last week’s loss to Quins in London.

A tight opening saw Leinster only register the first score of the game after 25 minutes from an Ian Madigan penalty.

After that, the Blues raced into a big lead by half time.

Isaac Boss went over for Leinster's first try in three games on the half hour mark, while Madigan kicked another penalty to give Matt O’Connor’s men an 11-0 lead at the break.

Quins came racing out of the blocks after half time.

Mike Brown’s try for the visitors was ruled out by the TMO early in the half.

Tim Swiel registered their first score shortly afterwards with a penalty.

And Brown finally got his try for Quins just before the hour mark, going over in the corner.

That was converted by Swiel, who added another penalty shortly afterwards to edge Conor O’Shea’s men ahead with 15 minutes left.

Madigan kicked Leinster’s only score of the second half with 10 minutes to play to edge them ahead once again.

And that kick proved crucial, as Leinster held on to seal the win by the slimmest of margins, 14-13.

They were aided by the sin binning of Quins second row Charlie Matthews late on for stamping.

Leinster stay second in their pool, but now only trail Quins on points difference.

The win keeps their hopes of a home quarter-final alive.
