League Of Ireland Round Up - Wins For Pats And Cork And Goals At Dalymount

St. Patrick's Athletic have taken the spoils and gone level on points with Shamrock Rovers after a 2-0 win in the 'Luas derby' on Friday night.

98FM's Stephen Doyle watched the action

There was drama, penalties and goals galore at Dalymount Park as Bohemians and Wexford Youths drew 3-3.

Danny Furlong's Penalty on seven minutes had Youths one up, Mark Quigley equalised before Chris Kenny put Wexford in front again, Paddy Kavanagh struck right on half-time to make it 2-2.

Then Gary Delaney put Wexford in front again in the 80th minute, but a second Quigley goal, this time from the penalty spot, meant they shared the points.

A big win for Cork City at defending champions Dundalk. Sean Maguire got their goal in a 1-0 win.

Two late goals for Derry City saw them beat Galway 2-1 at the Bradywell.

Kevin Devaney had Galway ahead in the 24th minute but Nathan Boyle goals on 75 and 90 minutes to win the points for Derry.

First Division

UCD's poor start to the First Division continues.

They lost 3-1 to Waterford. Anthony McAlavey, Colm Nugent and Philly Gorman goals for Roddy Collins' team.

Gary O'Neill had got UCD's goal which made it 2-1.

Shels and Cabinteely shared the points at Tolka Park. Michael Brown scored  for Cabo, while Sodiq Oguntola got his first league goal for Shels against his former club in the 83rd minute.

While Drogheda and Athlone drew 2-2.
