Lambert's Had Enough Of Keane Rumours

The normally mild mannered Aston Villa manager Paul Lambert lost his cool slightly when quizzed on the Roy Keane bust-up rumours.

The Irish assistant boss quit his other job as Lambert's number two last week to focus on his gig with the Boys in Green.

"Ultimately, my roles with Villa and Ireland and combining my commitment to these have become too much," Keane said in a statement.

"It isn't fair to either Villa or Ireland, so I've made this decision. I'd like to thank Paul for giving me a great opportunity to come to a brilliant football club."

In the days following Keane's announcement, allegations of a training ground row involving the Cork man were reported in some newspapers.

Lambert insists that the allegations are completely false
