Packie Bonner was in town yesterday to launch the 2015 Packie Bonner Golf Classic in aid of Spina Bifida Hydrocephahalus Ireland (SBHI) which takes place at Palmerstown House Estate Golf Club in Naas, Co. Kildare on Friday August 21st.

The Irish Italia '90 hero was in Glasgow on Wednesday night as an analyst at the first leg of Celtic's Champions League second qualifying round match versus Icelandic outfit Stjarnan.

The 2-0 win was not perfect and contained a moment of madness when Stefan Johansen and Leigh Griffiths were at loggerheads over who would take a vital spot-kick.

In a week in which Hoops boss Ronny Deila's ambition was questioned, after he claimed that making the group stages should be regarded as success, it was a badly needed win.

Former Celtic goalkeeper, Bonner, spoke to 98FM Sport's Stephen Doyle about the game and Deila's claims

The 2015 Packie Bonner Golf Classic is open to golfers of all skill levels, large companies, golf clubs and societies and even non-golfers can get involved.
