What a guy James McClean is!

The Republic of Ireland star stepped in to save the day this week, as he set up a team to play a children's Down Syndrome side from his native Derry.

The Oxford Bulls were set up recently, but they had one problem- they had no opposition to play against.

Step up McClean, who gathered some friends to warm up with and play against the Bulls in a game of indoor football.

One of the boys’ fathers, Kevin Morrison, told the full story on Facebook:

And he also had this video of all the action:

McClean has had a tough fortnight, with the passing of his friends Ryan McBride and Martin McGuinness.

He also watched on as his Ireland captain Seamus Coleman suffered a season-ending injury against Wales last Friday.

In the middle of all that, he played in two games- against Wales and also against Iceland on Tuesday night.

However, despite all that, he found time to make these lads days! Legend!
