The next few months will see a massive debate over the future of the small ball, in Ireland and abroad, following the release of the report from the Hurling 2020 committee today.
All-Ireland winning manager with Tipperary, Liam Sheedy, chaired the committee which was made up of a panel of people with a huge passion for the sport.
There are 15 proposals contained within the report, some involving rule changes, but the main thrust of it is how to develop the game in weaker counties while making sure none of the others fall away.
