Virgin Media Sport, the new home of European football in Ireland.

The international break is now over - probably not the worst thing on these shores given how Ireland have fared in the UEFA Nations League.

And after a weekend which saw the domestic league action resume, the Champions League and Europa League are hot on its heels as Matchweek 3 gets underway.

You'll find plenty of games on Virgin Media Television...

AEK Athens vs Bayern Munich

Tuesday, October 23rd

Kick off 5.55pm

This was meant to be a season of transition for Bayern Munich under new manager Niko Kovac, a somewhat ageing team and keeping the powder dry in the transfer market until next summer.

But it's been worse than transition, with a poor start to the season, compounded by two defeats and a draw in their three games before the international break, placing pressure onto Kovac's shoulders before he's even had a chance to settle in properly at the club he also represented as a player between 2001 and 2003.

In Europe, they have won at Benfica and drawn at home to Ajax, so victory against Greek champions AEK Athens home and away over the next two Champions League group stage Matchweeks is imperative for Bayern's confidence and the immediate challenge of avoiding any worries in the pool.

Manchester United vs Juventus

Tuesday, October 23rd

Kick off, 8pm

While the football hasn't always been entertaining, the drama around Manchester United has been Hollywood-esque at times, so it's a perfect time for European royalty to turn up at Old Trafford and potentially cause more headaches.

Juventus have been in imperious form in Serie A with eight wins from nine and have won two from two in the Champions League group stages so far (including one match against Valencia in which they were down to 10-men for a lengthy period), so it's a tall order for United even on home soil, especially given the strength of Juve's defence.

PSV vs Tottenham

Wednesday, October 24th

Kick off, 5.55pm

I caught a bit of PSV recently when they saw off Eredivisie rivals Ajax 3-0 at home as they look to retain their Dutch crown.

They have some dangerous players that a Tottenham side that have also lost two from two in Europe will have to be wary of including Hirving Lozano and Steven Bergwijn.

Like Spurs, PSV have yet to make a mark in the Champions League this season, sitting level on zero points with the Premier League side after a 4-0 loss against a Messi-inspired Barcelona and a 2-1 loss to an improving Inter Milan.

Liverpool vs Red Star Belgrade

Wednesday, October 24th

Kick off, 8pm

After losing 1-0 at Napoli two weeks ago, Liverpool will be eager to hit back straight away and a Red Star Belgrade side who are very much group minnows provide ample opportunity for Jurgen Klopp's side to get back on course in the group.

This home leg is particularly replete with potential for goals and the three points, before visiting Belgarde in the next Matchweek.
