Ellis Genge has escaped a citing for an incident involving Ireland captain Jonathan Sexton.

The England prop appeared to grind his elbow into the face of Sexton while the pair were on the ground late in Saturday's game at the Aviva.

In conversations caught on the referee microphone, Sexton highlighted the incident to match referee Mathieu Raynal, with Genge admitting his indiscretion.

"Sir, he elbowed me in the face", Sexton informed Raynal, with Genge replying to Sexton, "Yeah I did, I did."

However, Raynal took no action at the time.

To trigger a citing, incidents have to be worthy of a red card and clearly Six Nations Rugby don't view the incident as such.

Meanwhile, Bundee Aki is to face a disciplinary panel on Tuesday following his red card in the 32-18 Ireland win.

The Connacht centre was sent-off by Raynal having appeared to make contact with the head of Billy Vunipola in attempting to make a tackle.

Aki was found to have broken Law 9.13 of the game (Dangerous play during a tackle.  A player must not tackle an opponent early, late or dangerously. Dangerous tackling includes, but is not limited to, tackling or attempting to tackle an opponent above the line of the shoulders even if the tackle starts below the line of the shoulders).

He will appear via video-conference.

France lock Paul Willemse must also face a disciplinary panel having been red-carded for a rake of the eyes of Wales prop Wyn Jones.

However, his head coach Fabien Galthie disagreed with the sending off, saying, "If you watch the Wales players, it feels like they specialise in making sure opponents get red cards.

"Their body language is quite clear, I hope the referees take that into consideration. I don't think he deserves a sanction.

"If you watch the video there is clearly no contact, or if there is it's clearly very limited. It's absolutely not voluntary.

"I believe we need to share this, I don't see why he should be sanctioned."
