Dublin will face Kildare in the O'Byrne Cup final next Sunday in Newbridge.

The Boys in Blue edged past Meath, after a thrilling semi final at Pairc Tailteann in Navan yesterday.

Dublin led by 9 points early in the second half.

But Meath clawed that deficit back, to level the game in injury time.

Philly Ryan and Eoghan O’Gara then proved the heroes for Dublin.

They kicked a point each in the 72nd minute, to give Jim Gavin’s men a 1-15 to 1-13 win.

Dublin boss Jim Gavin spoke to the waiting press, including 98FM Sport’s Derek Ryan, after the game:

So the Dubs march on to meet holders Kildare in the O’Byrne Cup final in Newbridge next Sunday.

The Lilywhites eased past D.I.T by 2-15 to 9 points in their semi final yesterday.
