Dan Carter will replace Jonny Sexton at Racing Metro.

The 32 year old All-Blacks legend, capped 102 times by his country, has confirmed that he’s agreed to join the French side after the World Cup next year.

And he’ll reportedly become the World’s highest paid player as a result, on 1.6 million Euro a year.

“It’s going to be an awesome adventure for me and my family,” Carter said, adding “I know what the French culture and their rugby culture is like and it’s something I really love.”

He also admitted the “opportunity to financially set yourself up for the future was a big part” of his decision.

Carter has twice won the IRB World Player of the Year.

And he has a world-record 1,457 Test points.

The move will end Carter’s international career with the All Blacks.

And he says that will be hard:
