Could Top Scorer In England Start For Ireland?

He has scored more league goals this season (23) than Wayne Rooney and Robin van Persie combined (21) but Daryl Murphy probably won't start for the Boys in Green against Poland this Sunday night.

The Republic of Ireland take on the in-form Group D leaders at the Aviva Stadium in the fifth round of Euro 2016 qualifiers.

Poland have conceded just two goals in their opening four qualifying matches (including a trip to Georgia and home games against Germany and Scotland) which would indicate that it will take something special to crack them in Dublin.

Skipper and record Irish goalscorer Robbie Keane is favourite to win back his place after being left out of the starting line-up for the last game in Scotland while Shane Long and Jonathan Walters will also be in contention to start.

Murphy told 98FM Sport's Stephen Doyle he can play a part off the bench
