President Morad Boudjellal has hit out angrily at suggestions that his club Toulon has been involved in doping.

French news reports have alleged that the nation's anti-doping agency contacted the state prosecutor last May over suggestions that Toulon pharmacists could have been supplying antibiotics, painkillers and anabolic steroids to the club.

"There is no doping at this club", insisted Boudjellal at a press conference today whilst adding that the inquiry actually involves “a health-service scam in which a pharmacist who used to work with the club a long time ago is implicated”.

"No player is concerned in this affair, it's totally unfounded information. This is related to a social security fraud; that concerns the pharmacist not RCT."

The controversial billionaire comic book magnate has claimed that someone is trying to damage head coach Bernard Laporte who is running to head the French Rugby Federation.

Marseille prosecutor Brice Robin has voiced his concerns over the use of the word doping in connection with the investigations, stating to French newspaper Le Monde that no allegations have been proven and investigators are "far from that point".
