Several Irish players delivered underwhelming performances in last night's 2-1 defeat to Belarus despite some knowing that their Euro 2016 chances depended on it.
Assistant boss Roy Keane lambasted the display in a very cool, calm and collected manner after this morning's training session.
"You can tell," quipped the Cork man when he was reminded of the fact that Daryl Murphy and Jeff Hendrick have played very little club football of late.
Keane looked exasperated by the fact that the team failed to do the simple things right, "You are playing international football. Control the bloody ball."
If they are honest with themselves the players will agree with what he had to say about their showing at Turner's Cross and may even be motivated by what Keane had to say.
