This weekend, Leinster are looking to complete the double by adding the Guinness Pro 14 crown to their fourth European Champions Cup/Heineken Cup.

But ahead of Saturday's finale against Scarlets, the Joey Carbery situation still looms large with uncertainty over his Leinster future and whether he will accept a move to Munster or Ulster to get more game-time at 10.

To discuss that and more, Ireland and Leinster legend Brian O'Driscoll joined Dave and Ger in studio.

On Carbery, he feels the player has to make a move away from his home province for the good of his international prospects with a World Cup just over a year away, especially as Joe Schmidt is keen for him to gain more experience: "He has to go, he has to go."

"If he has Irish aspirations and Joe Schmidt wants him to go, it will take a miracle year, it will take almost an injury to Johnny Sexton or a real lack of form from Ross Byrne next year or two for him to get that game-time at 10 and play his way into win Joe back over again. Because you don't want a black mark - I'm not saying Joe's someone that never forgets - but with any national coach, you don't want to get on their bad side."

BOD also reserved plenty of praise for Leinster back-up 10 Ross Byrne, who has been called up for the Ireland summer tour to Australia.

"I've been incredibly impressed with him and his development this year but he's had lots of game-time," he said.

"I was very impressed with the variety to his game. His kicking game is strong, probably one of the strongest parts of his game but I was really impressed by seeing him take the ball to the line, having a little go himself, looking for offloads behind the line. He's got a nice passing game. I just think he has really come on this year and he's more in the mould of where Johnny Sexton was when he broke onto the scene."
