Michael Cheika has had to make changes to his Australia XV ahead of Sunday's Pool D clash against Wales. Four new faces have been drafted in for the game in Tokyo.

Warren Gatland has stuck with the same fifteen faces as beat Georgia comprehensively in the opening game.

With Reece Hodge suspended for the remaining pool games, Adam Ashley Cooper has been selected on the right-wing, having not been part of the Wallabies squad for the opener against Fiji.

It's a fourth Rugby World Cup for Ashley-Cooper becoming only the second Australian to do it after George Gregan. The utility back will earn his 18th Rugby World Cup cap, incredibly all starting, more than any other player at this year's tournament.

Elsewhere in the backline, Genia and Foley come in at half-back, while Dane Haylett-Petty in the number-15 shirt.

Nic White, Matt To'omua and Kurtley Beale drop to the bench having started in the game against Fiji. The pack is unchanged.

The clash with Wales will also mark Australia’s 50th Rugby World Cup game as they become just the second nation to achieve the feat behind New Zealand (51).
