John Terry has signed for Aston Villa. The club's chairman Dr Tony Xia revealed the news on twitter.
The 36-year-old made 713 appearances for Chelsea winning European and domestic honours.
Villa finished 13th under Steve Bruce in the Championship last season.

The defender was released by Chelsea at the end of the season - he's agreed a one year deal with the club.
“I am delighted to join Aston Villa," Terry told the club's official website.
“It’s a club I have admired from afar for many years – there are fantastic facilities at Bodymoor Heath, Villa Park is one of the finest stadiums in the country and there’s a good group of players here, with an experienced and successful manager in Steve Bruce.
“I can’t wait to get started now and look to help the squad achieve something special this season.”
When official confirmation came, it was 100% cringe. What is this?
