Ex-England defender and Sky Sports analyst Gary Neville hasn't held back in his criticism of Arsenal's performance in their defeat to Manchester City in the Carabao Cup Final.

Arsene Wenger's side were beaten 3-0 at Wembley and Neville strongly criticised their display after David Silva scored City's third.

Arsenal Were ' 'Spineless And Pathetic" - Gary Neville

“In the minute before that goal, I mentioned the walking of the Arsenal players, and then the retreating runs of Aaron Ramsey and Granit Xhaka, ambling, jogging back – an absolute disgrace they are, an absolute disgrace.

“Ramsey. Xhaka. Ozil. You’re walking on a football pitch at Wembley. Why are you walking? You’re a disgrace. An absolute disgrace.

“I don’t even want to talk about them because they’ve been an absolute disgrace. Ramsey and Xhaka walking on a football pitch. Absolutely spineless.

“City have played properly, that’s all they had to do, to walk through this Arsenal team. The precision that you expect from this Man City team was there.

“I have to say, I’m struggling to come up with words now to describe this Arsenal pattern, this engrained, embedded pattern that we’ve seen.

“I’ve not really liked their defending for a long time, I’ve not really liked their leadership, the character, and the spirit on the pitch, but you’ve always liked the football – I don’t even like the football anymore. The last bastion has gone.

“It’s not even a team that plays good football. Liverpool play better, Tottenham play better, Manchester City play better. There are three or four teams that play better football than them now.

“Chelsea and United are stronger both physically and mentally.

“Look at the Man City players sprinting back while the Arsenal players walk back. A complete difference in mentality.

“It’s not easy to win a cup final this easily, but that’s what City are about to do. Arsenal have been absolutely pathetic.”

While Arsenal legend Thierry Henry admits it would be a "dream" to manage the club.

He's currently working as assistant to Belgium boss Roberto Martinez and was asked by Jamie Redknapp if he'd like the main role at Arsenal if Arsene Wenger vacates the role.

“I still have a job to do with Belgium, but let’s see what’s going to happen.

"It will be a dream for me, but I’m still with Belgium.

“Interested? Yes, who wouldn’t be? But I can’t talk about that out of respect for the man that is in charge still and my job that I’m doing right now with Belgium. But who wouldn’t be interested?"
