Speaking to 98FM this morning, Leinster head coach Matt O'Connor confirmed that Leo Cullen will retire at the end of the season.

The second row will by staying with the province though, as O'Connor announce on 'Now That's What I Call Sport' that Cullen will be replacing Jonno Gibbes as Forwards coach.

Gibbes will be moving to Top 14 side Clermont Auvergne.

O'Connor described the move into coaching as a 'natural progression' for Cullen.

"He’s got all that knowledge, he understands what’s required at the very top level and I’m really looking forward to working with him.”

"When you sit down and have a conversation with him, his genuine excitement and the student of the game that he is, you know he will thrive in the environment." said O'Connor.
