Shopping centres are the latest to reopen their doors this morning after being shut for three months because of Covid 19.

Hand sanitizer and social distancing are the new norm in major outlets and customers are being warned to expect to queue.

Dundrum Town Centre in Dublin usually has 300 thousand visits per week this time of year.

Centre director Don Nugent says they are keeping a close eye on numbers.

"We have footfall counters that count the number of people that come in to the centre, and leave, in real time we can monitor the number of people in the building.

"We have a plan in place if we need to to stop people coming in temporarily, it's all with the point of view of maintaining social distancing protocols."
