House Of Cards Cancelled Amid Kevin Spacey Allegations
Netflix has announced that it's axing House of Cards after the next season.
The streaming service says it's deeply troubled by allegations that Kevin Spacey made unwanted sexual advances towards a 14 year old actor in 1986.
The claims from Star Trek: Discovery actor Anthony Rapp were first made to Buzzfeed News yesterday.
In a statement on twitter, Kevin Spacey apologised saying that he didn't remember the incident, but if it happened, it would have been deeply inappropriate drunken behaviour.
He also came out as a gay man in the same statement, and is now facing criticism that he made the announcement to deflect attention from the allegations.
A Netflix spokesperson has confirmed that the decision to end the show was made months earlier, but was made public in light of the allegations against Spacey.
