This is a pet owners worst nightmare
A woman from Tallaght reached out to us here on Dublin Talks about a tragic incident involving her dog.
Nicole's dog Pippin escaped from the house and was knocked down by a car which then fled the scene.
Nicole and her family are absolutely heartbroken and said they just wish the person had stopped and told them.
"It was 8 years of my life, how could you just leave it there on the road"
This has happened to a number of our listeners. One man said he just wanted the person to have the decency to respect their dog who was like a family member.
