"Totally Wrong Location" - Caller Delighted Injection Centre For Dublin 8 Rejected

Ireland’s first ever supervised injection centre has been refused planning permission from Dublin’s City Council.

Merchants Quay Ireland had applied to run the facility from its building in the city centre - we spoke to their Head of Day Services Marie Lynch who said they were "deeply disappointed" with the news.

One of our callers said he was delighted that the injected centre was refused planning permission, saying it should be on a hospital campus:
