Rathmines Residents Facing Eviction Just "Want Their Voices Heard"

Up to 50 families and individuals in Rathmines are fighting to stay in their homes, after being served an eviction notice by a vulture fund company.

A protest took place outside the headquarters of ‘Val Issuer Dac’ yesterday – the vulture fund bought up properties on South Richmond Street and Rosedale Terrace last November. They are saying tenants need to leave because ‘substantial’ renovations need to be carried out on the apartment buildings.

We spoke to Roman, who has been living in Rosedale Terrace for seven years now, he said the residents "are not going anywhere":
