"Nothing wrong with your kid having a bit of fear of you"
We received an email in from a confused dad. His 3-year-old was misbehaving and he shouted at him, his wife then scolded him and said it's not OK to shout.
He’s asking “since when has shouting become a taboo?! How are parents meant to parent these days? When I was growing up, if I misbehaved, I was disciplined, I’m now a villain for trying to do the same!”.
A new study also states that shouting can be as damaging as slapping.
We spoke to callers who have been affected by shouting, who shout themselves and who have alternative methods to shouting.
