Today on Dublin Talks we asked if hate crime laws need to brought into Ireland.

It comes following an incident in Dundrum on Sunday where a 14 year old girl had her hijab pulled off her by a gang of teenagers.

Gardaí who investigated the incident have said that the attack was not a hate crime.

However, Ali Salim from the 'Islamic Cultural Centre' has called for hate crime laws in Ireland:
