A woman is due in court this morning in connection with the murder of her elderly mother in Dublin 1.
Mary Bergin, who was aged in her late 70s, was found dead at her home on First Avenue off Seville Place in the north inner city shortly before midday last Wednesday.
Her daughter, 45 year old Moire Bergin of the same address, was remanded in custody last Friday after being charged with murder.
The court heard that Ms Bergin required urgent psychiatric attention.
She's due to appear before Dublin District Court this morning.
Yesterday Gardaí renewed their appeal for information relating to the pensioner's death as detectives at Store Street continue their investigation.
Mary Bergin's funeral will take place at St Laurence O’Toole Church in North Wall at 10am tomorrow morning, followed by burial in Cootehill in Cavan.
