A woman is due before the courts today in relation to a €300,000 drugs seizure at Dublin Airport.

Revenue officers discovered 15 kilos of cannabis vacuum-packed in the luggage of a passenger who arrived from Toronto in Canada yesterday.

A woman in her 30s was subsequently arrested and taken to a Dublin garda station under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996.

She's since been charged to appear at the Criminal Courts of Justice this morning.

Investigations are ongoing.

This seizure is part of Revenue's ongoing operations targeting organised crime groups and the importation, sale and supply of illegal drugs.

Any businesses or members of the public who have any information regarding smuggling, they're asked to contact Revenue in confidence on 1800 295 295.
