Witness Appeal After Woman Struck On The Head On Luas

Gardaí in Dublin are appealing for witnesses after a man threw something at a woman on the Luas yesterday morning, striking her on the head.

The alleged assault happened as the man, who is in his early 30s, was leaving the tram at the Jervis stop at around 11.30am.

He was arrested a short time later and was taken to Store Street Garda station. The man was charged with public order offences and is due to appear before court at a later date.

Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incident to come forward.
