Wind Warning Issued For Dublin

A wind warning has been issued for Dublin. The yellow alert is in place until 1pm in the capital as well as in Munster, Carlow, Kildare, Kilkenny, Laois, Longford, Wexford, Wicklow, Offaly, Galway and Mayo. 

Met Eireann says:

"West to Southwest winds veering West to Northwest of mean speed 55 to 65 km/h with gusts of 90 to 110km/h, risk of coastal flooding on western and southern coasts."

The rain is set to clear to scattered showers in Dublin later this morning. The forecaster says there will be sunny spells in the afternoon with some showers and temperatures of 6 or 7 degrees. Winds will ease this evening. 

Tonight will start dry and clear with temperatures falling to 1 or 2 degrees Celsius with some frost. But prolonged showers are forecast will move in.

Friday will be cold and cloudy, with some sunny spells and showers developing and afternoon temperatures of 3 to 5 degrees.
