It may be bright and sunny outside and the moment but a weather warning has been issued for the entire country with rain, strong winds, thunder and even snow forecast.
The yellow alert will be in place from 6pm today until 6am tomorrow.
Met Eireann says:
"A spell of wet and windy weather, with thundery downpours, will sweep eastwards over the country during Monday evening and night. Gusts between 90 and 110km/h will occur in Atlantic, southern and later eastern coastal fringes for a time. Some accumulations of snow are possible during the period also."
There's a risk of spot flooding in Dublin overnight. The rain may turn to sleet for a time, with snow on higher ground. There'll be lows of 1 or 2 degrees with the risk of frost and icy patches.
The rain will clear by tomorrow morning in the capital. Tomorrow will be cold and mostly dry with a few sunny spells and highs of 6 or 7 degrees.
