Anti-water charge protestors have blocked traffic in parts of the city centre, including O'Connell Street, this evening.
The group says it intends to march to Mountjoy Prison, where four people have been jailed for breaking an order to stay away from installation works in Stoneybatter and Phibsboro.
The High Court sentenced them this afternoon, after finding that they took part in a demonstration last December.
The Judge imposed 28 day sentences on three of the protesters, Bernie Hughes of McKelvey Avenue, Finglas; Michael Batty of Edenmore Avenue, Raheny; and Derek Byrne of Streamville Road, Donaghmede.
He put a stay on Mr Batty's sentence as he is out of the country.
Damien O'Neill of Greenwood Park in Coolock; Paul Moore of Mount Olive Grove in Kilbarrack, who were previously found guilty of contempt, have been sentenced to 56 days behind bars.
The judge said protests are the 'bedrock of a democratic society' but in his view the demonstrations filmed in Dublin 7 last December were 'cowardly' and 'unfair' to workers employed by GMC Sierra to install water meters.
No traffic is moving on O'Connell St heading Northbound, buses are diverted via Eden Quay, Gardiner St, Parnell Sq. West &back on to route.
