Vine, you know that app that lets you share and watch six second videos? It's closing down.

Twitter owns it, and needs to make some serious savings. It's also cutting 350 jobs around the world as it looks for someone to buy it out.

Twitter says it'll wind Vine down over the next few months, but will keep all old Vines available to view on its website.

A statement from the Vine and Twitter team explained that "Nothing is happening to the apps, website or your Vines today.

"You’ll be able to access and download your Vines. We’ll be keeping the website online because we think it’s important to still be able to watch all the incredible Vines that have been made. You will be notified before we make any changes to the app or website."

The company went on to thank everyone who has created content, and "of course, thank you to all of those who came to watch and laugh every day."

Here's a Vine that gave us a laugh in the last week.
