Dublin's All Ireland winning football teams are to be honoured at a homecoming  celebration on September 29th.

On Saturday the men's senior team completed the first ever successful drive for five All-Ireland titles in a row.

Then yesterday it was the turn of the Dublin ladies senior squad to take home the spoils.

For the third time in a row, Mick Bohan's team won the Brendan Martin Cup.

They defeated Galway by a scoreline of 2-03 to 4 points at Croke Park.

Massive Crowds

A crowd of more than 56,000 defied the wind and rain to turn out for the game yesterday.

Dublin City Council has confirmed that they will host the family friendly celebration in Merrion Square from 1.30pm.

There will be room for up to 15,000 fans and supporters on the day.

The full details of the celebrations will be announced over the coming days.
