Wayne Dundon and Nathan Killeen are beginning life sentences for the murder of Limerick businessman Roy Collins, five years ago.

The 35 year old was killed by a single shot to the chest fired by a gunman who entered the Coincastle amusements at around midday on April 9th 2009.

Roy Collins was an innocent victim of Limerick's crime gangs.

He was shot dead because his father Steve Collins testified against Wayne Dundon in a trial several years ago.

Dundon ordered the revenge killing from behind bars, hiring Nathan Killeen as the getaway driver and another man James Dillon as the gunman.

He was convicted on the evidence of his cousin, convicted murderer Anthony 'Noddy' McCarthy, who told the court they had discussed the hit while in Wheatfield prison.

Steve Collins' believes his son's killers are evil.

However he also believes the breaking up of this crime gang and new tougher laws are part of Roy's legacy and that his needless death was not entirely in vain.
