Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelenskyy will address Ireland's third-level staff and students later today.
They will learn how Russia's illegal invasion has impacted Ukraine and its citizens.
President Zelenskyy will speak to them by video-link.
Higher Education Minister Simon Harris says it's vital students are educated about the war.
He says Ireland is "militarily neutral" but will never be neutral "when it comes to standing for freedom, democracy and European values."
Minister Harris says today is a "very important day" to hear about a war that's taking place on the continent of Europe.
He believes it's vital staff and students hear about why it matters that Ireland stands by democracy and freedom.
