Two senior Gardai have been given two and a half thousand euro fines for wrongly quashing penalty points.
The Sunday Independent says others may have been fined for lesser amounts.
These disciplinary proceedings came about after the whistleblowing saga.
The inquiry found evidence of favouritism by gardai in quashing points, with several thousand offences disregarded.
